What is the Cloud?

It is a way for your to store your media digitally so you can access it from virtually any internet-connected device (computer, tablet, phone, smart TV, etc). You can also invite friends and family to view or download specific videos or photos.

What about DVDs?

With so many people streaming movies via Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc, many people don't even own DVD players anymore. We would be happy to put your memories onto a DVD if you want, but be aware that technology is rapidly becoming obsolete.

How about USB Thumb Drives?

Again, if you insist, we will put your memories onto a USB Thumb Drive. However, these have several problems. First, they are also becoming obsolete. Apple has already phased out traditional USB ports from their computers. More importantly, these handy portable devices are prone to failure in just a few short years. It would be a shame to lose all your stored family memories due to a crash.

Cloud Advantages

Storing your family's archive in the cloud offers long-term permanent* protection. Should your home be damaged by a hurricane, fire, or falling meteorite, you know your photos and movies are safe.

Commercial cloud storage services typically make multiple back-ups several times throughout the day. If one of their hard drives fails, you would never know because their systems automatically shift over to one of the back-up systems.

It's easy to share your media with friends and family... just email them a link and grant them permission. You can also organize them, order photo prints, and even design decorative digital scrapbooks that can be printed into a family keepsake.

YOUR FAMILY MOVIE LLC

We will help you sign-up for an account with our preferred cloud provider. We will then personally handle the digitization of all your old media (film, video, photos, 35mm slides, etc) in our small family-owned studio. Once that's done, we upload your new digital memories to the cloud and return the original media to you. It couldn't be any easier!
